Coconut Records
Creí que sería bueno hablar (o escribir) un poquito sobre Coconut Records. Primero y principal, porque como todo lo que hace Jason, es muy bueno e interesante; y segundo, porque lamentablemente por estos pagos no es muy conocido por lo que pensé que sería bueno difundirlo lo mejor posible.
Les cuento además que en las canciones Summer Day y This Old Machine, canta también Kirsten Dunst, así como en Ask Her To Dance y Slowly lo hace Zooey Deschanel.
Todas las canciones de "Nighttiming" fueron escritas, realizadas y cantado por Jason Schwartzman.
"Nighttiming" fue producido por Michael Einziger en su casa estudio en Malibú, California.
"Nighttiming" fue mezclado por Brendan O'Brien, que producen y mezclan registros de Rage contra la Machine, Pearl Jam, Bruce Spingsteen, Incubus y Matthew Sweet.
Coconut Records Schwartzman es la primera salida desde la salida musicales Phantom Planet en 2003.
Jason Schwartzman escribió y bateó para la banda Phantom Planet, que formó en 1994.
El primer single de "Nighttiming", la "Costa Oeste" se utilizó en el episodio final de la muestra El CO - cuyo tema musical, "California", fue escrita por Schwartzman y Alex Greenwald.
"Nighttiming" se puede conseguir en Young Baby Records.

Behind the scenes de The Darjeeling Limited
The Caboose "There are no longer cabooses on passenger trains in India (or anywhere else for that matter?), so our production designer Mark Friedberg built one. We shot these scenes near our workshop in Jodphur."
On The Motorcycle In India, motorcycles always carry at least three passengers on any given ride, and often an entire family. Our favorite brand is called the Hero Honda."
The Lost Train "You are never alone in India. Even in the middle of the most remote desert, if you take a careful look, you will find that there are people and animals around you somewhere. This scene was shot on top of a high dune near a village called Osian."
The Temple of 1000 Bulls "We started our shoot in the middle of one of the busiest and least accessible (by anything other than bicycle or auto-rickshaw) parts of Jodphur. Luckily, our key grip Sanjay Sami introduced us to his "rickshaw dolly" which became our favorite piece of equipment."
Waris and the Cobra“We originally wanted to cast a little, red, spectacularly posoinous species called a Krait for the snake in our story, but unfortunately the only one we had actually seen (which had been captured by the manager of a tea estate in Darjeeing) had just been re-released into the wild. The most readily available snakes in Rajasthan seem to be cobras.”
Train Rocking “From the very beginning, our plan was always to shoot our scenes on a real, moving train. This turned out to be very exciting when we actually managed to do it, but it was very difficult to organize, and sometimes we had to pull over and wait a few hours while the scheduled traffic passed.”
The Sikh Temple“Anyone who has been inside a Sikh temple knows you are always required to cover your head. There is usually a basket filled with a selection of colorful scarves just inside the door for visitors without turbans to choose from.”
